About Me

Dr. Sarita L. Evans is fondly known to her clients as the “Entrepreneur Doula” for helping hundreds of entrepreneurs “birth” and nurture their businesses over the last 20 years.  She is a highly sought-after business trainer, mentor, coach, public speaker, and consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in working with Black and brown entrepreneurs.

Dr. Sarita has owned and operated several successful businesses, served on the faculty of Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment (WISE) and Uptima Entrepreneur Cooperative, was on the Board of Conscious Capitalism of the Bay Area, and recently was a mentor with SCORE.  Currently, Dr. Sarita supports the Black Cultural Zone as Business Thrive Coach for the many entrepreneurs associated with that program. 

Dr. Sarita began her first business venture at the age of 23, when she started a Black hair care and beauty supply company - she has not stopped since. Dr. Sarita successfully built and operated Ladies Workout Express, a women’s fitness center serving over 1000 women.  She also founded, designed, and operated Move Around Fitness, a holistic corporate wellness program, featuring a uniquely designed mobile fitness studio.  

In keeping with her focus and commitment to health and wellness, Sarita was Co-Founder and CFO of Spectrum CannaLabs, Inc., an analytical cannabis testing facility to ensure the safety and content of legally sold cannabis products.  

Dr. Sarita holds a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.  She is also a licensed California and Georgia Real Estate Broker.

Dr. Sarita has a passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting businesses to reach their mission and goals, while building a stronger community.
